Education Through Radio

The UBC Amateur Radio Society is geared towards education through teaching and experiencing Amateur Radio. We welcome all students and non-students to join us and broaden their knowledge.

Great Facilities

The club station provides great facilities and meeting space for members and visitors. With several repeater stations as well as permanently installed hardware, we offer a wide range of options to keep you connected.

Welcome to the UBC Amateur Radio Society home page. The UBC Amateur Radio Society is a non-profit, student organisation governed by UBC’s Alma Mater Society. Our mission is to encourage Amateur Radio as a hobby and increase interest and support for experimentation with radio frequencies.

We are home to the Internet Radio Linking Project (IRLP) as well as repeaters on 145.270 MHz (-600 kHz, IRLP Node 1000) and 441.975 MHz (+5 MHz, IRLP Node 1010) located on the UBC campus.

If you are an interested student or alumni feel free to come out to one of the open stations or contact us.
